The Chicago Robotic Theater presents “More than Clouds in the Sky”, a story inspired by the life of Galileo Galilei. The show will unfold every night using robotic characters and the drama of history, and be visible from the sidewalk. All the components will be self contained, fully autonomous and are set to an original musical score. The narrative will portray a character named Friedrich who lives in a small village and begins witnessing strange, flying creatures. To convince the dubious townspeople of his discovery, Friedrich builds a survey tower and gathers evidence to support his observations. Despite these efforts, he is still met with skepticism and is deemed a mad man.
